Ninja Experience · Takayama
Ninja Cafe Takayama is the whole scene in this Gifu Prefecture old town — a dojo-and-cafe hybrid displaying historical helmets, swords, and tea utensils, where the Basic Course puts you in a ninja costume for training with an authentic iron shuriken, blowgun practice, and sword iai using a replica blade (kata training that was an essential part of real ninja practice). Drinks and sweets are part of the format, so it doubles as a rest stop between the town’s preserved streets.
The same facility scales the format up and down: a Special Course adds VR games, a shorter Trial Course covers the core weapons training at a lower price, and a standalone shuriken session from $12 works if you only have twenty minutes. The Basic Course, with costume and one drink included, is the one most visitors book.
